Brownie in a Mug

Easiest brownie ever, a single serving brownie microwaved in a mug.

Some mugs don’t microwave well because there is metal in their ceramic glaze. They’ll work but they may get very hot. Best to use a plain old everyday un-fancy mug.

  • Prep time: 3 minutes
  • Cook time: 2 minutes
  • Yield: Makes one serving.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup flour (50 g)
  • 1/4 cup sugar (70 g)
  • 2 Tbsp (13 g) cocoa (natural, unsweetened)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Tiny pinch of cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup water (60 ml)
  • 2 Tbsp canola oil or vegetable oil (NOT extra virgin olive oil, it’s too strongly flavored)
  • 1 to 2 drops vanilla extract
  • 1 small scoop of ice cream or 1 or 2 teaspoons heavy whipping cream to serve

1 Place flour, sugar, cocoa, salt, and cinnamon in a microwave safe ceramic mug. Stir with a fork or spoon to mix well and break up any clumps.

2 Add the oil, water, and vanilla to the cup and stir until the mixture is smooth and there are no lumps.

3 Place in microwave and heat on high until the mixture is cooked through, about a 1 minute and 40 seconds for a 1000 watt microwave. You may have to experiment and adjust the time for less or more powerful microwaves. If you don’t know the power level on your microwave, start with 60 seconds and increase until the brownie is done. It should still be moist when cooked through, not dry.

4 Let cool for a minute and serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a teaspoon or two of whipping cream poured over.

No-bake chocolate chip cookie dough truffles -these perfect for a quick chocolate fix! I seriously love cookie dough, so these are great because there’s no egg in them, making them perfectly safe to eat. 😉

I made these for a few friends last week and they were gone within minutes. These truffles only take about 10 minutes to whip up and then 30 minutes to freeze. Seriously the perfect treat for a little get together.

I topped these cookie dough truffles off with a little sea salt and they were seriously divine.

Chocolate chip cookie dough truffles

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup butter, softened
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2-3 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (for dipping)
  • Sea salt (optional)

Directions:

Line a baking sheet with wax paper. In a bowl mix together butter, sugar and vanilla. Then add flour and mix just until combined. Stir in the milk chocolate chips. Make one inch balls with the dough and place on the pan. Freeze for about 30 minutes.
When the dough is firm, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in the microwave at 50% power. Then dip the cookie dough in the chocolate with a fork. Tap off an excess chocolate. Place back on wax paper and top with sea salt if desired. Place back in the freezer until chocolate has hardened. Store in the fridge.

Sus Vanila

Kue susBahan Sus :

  • 250ml Air
  • 125 gr Margarin
  • 1/2 sdt Garam
  • 150 gr Tepung terigu protein tinggi
  • 4 buah Telur

Bahan Vla:

  • 250 ml Air
  • 1/2 sdt Pasta Vanila
  • 75 gr Gula pasir
  • 75 gr Tepung maizena
  • 2 btr Kuning telur
  • 1/2 sdt Rum (sesuai selera)

Cara membuat:

  1. Sus: rebus air, margarin, dan garam hingga mendidih.
  2. Masukkan tepung terigu. Aduk-aduk hingga rata.
  3. Nyalakan api kecil. Aduk lagi sampai adonan kalis. Angkat dan biarkan hangat.
  4. Tambahkan telur satu per satu sambil dikocok hingga rata.
  5. Masukkan adonan dalam plastik segitiga yang telah diberi spuit.
  6. Semprotkan di atas loyang yang dioles margarin.
  7. Oven dengan api bawah suhu 200 derajat Celsius 25 menit sampai matang.
  8. Vla: rebus air, pasta vanila, gula pasir, dan maizena sambil diaduk sampai meletup-letup. Matikan api.
  9. Masukkan kuning telur. Aduk cepat dan rata. Nyalakan api. Aduk sampai meletup-letup kembali. Angkat. Biarkan hangat. Tambahkan rhum. Aduk rata.
  10. Belah sus. Isi sus dengan vla. Sajikan dingin.
